Servona acquires Hoffrichter GmbH

Integration of Hoffrichter strengthens our technological expertise as a home care provider
The Düsseldorf family company Droege International Group AG has strengthened its health division (approx. €100 mio. in sales) through the acquisition of the medical technology manufacturer Hoffrichter with headquarters in Schwerin. Hoffrichter specializes in the production and worldwide distribution of ventilation technology. For the Droege Group, the acquisition can be seen as part of the implementation of its growth strategy through buying & building the home-care service provider and medical-technology manufacturer Servona Group.

As a result of the transaction, the Droege Group expects an important expansion of its service offerings on the national and international ventilation market, particularly in the areas of outpatient and in-home ventilation. With Servona, the Droege Group already has a broad range of offerings as a manufacturer of medical products, as well as a modern supplier in the therapy sector for home care (outpatient care with medical aids). With the growth sector of ventilation technology, Hoffrichter’s core business, the range of services is considerably increased. Dr. Kurt N. Gebhart, Head of the Health Division of the Droege Group, explains: “The integration of Hoffrichter strengthens our technological expertise as a home care provider with complete care for patients. Acquisitions are also planned for the future in order to expand the business further.”

Hoffrichter GmbH was founded in 1995 in Schwerin by Helmut Hoffrichter. Following the transaction, Helmut Hoffrichter will continue to participate in the management of the company. His son and former co-owner Jens Hoffrichter will also help steer the development and production of the company in a managerial capacity. Helmut Hoffrichter is looking confidently toward the future: “The strategic alliance with Servona is a sensible and fruitful cooperation for both sides.
